Consistent Pace with Strategic Improvements Emma Scott, representing the Doernbecher Dinos, completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon in 2:15:56 with an overall pace of 10:22 min/mile. Emma showed a strong start with a first-mile pace of 10:41 min/mile and maintained focus through the midway point, experiencing a small dip in pace during the second mile at 17:46 min/mile. Interestingly, her performance saw a significant rebound with her fastest split of 4:17 min/mile for the third mile. A key highlight is Emma's adaptability, evident from her impressive final miles, particularly the 12th mile at a 9:20 min/mile pace. She occupied a steady position throughout the race, fluctuating slightly within her division, ultimately finishing 29th in the F50-54 category. Enhancing endurance during early miles could optimize overall performance further. Great teamwork spirit shown by participating in a team event; potential for further achievements is evident.
