Starting at 8:53 min/mile for the first mile, Greg improved to 8:37 min/mile in the second mile, suggesting effective energy management. The final split was completed in 8:49 min/mile, contributing to an overall pace of 8:47 min/mile. While Greg's overall placement was 747th among 6521 participants, his performance in the M35-39 category saw him finish 74th. Notably, his second mile saw a significant improvement in overall and category placements, moving from 537th to 442nd and 47th to 41st, respectively.
