Strong Mid-Race Surge Fuels Performance Raul Mendoza, competing for Bob's Red Mill, exhibited notable agility in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K. The early phase showed an initial split time of 13:44 at a pace of 13:44 min/mile. Despite starting further back, Raul then delivered a remarkable second-mile acceleration, cutting his pace to 7:04 min/mile. By the second mile, his overall ranking improved significantly to 1346, and he climbed to 150th in his division (M30-34). In the final stretch, Raul maintained consistency with a 10:26 min/mile pace, completing the event in 32:08 at an average pace of 10:22 min/mile. Finishing 2019th overall, and 1235th among male participants, he demonstrated strong competition in his division with a placement of 219th. Maintaining the mid-race pace surge longer could result in notable improvements. Excellent effort, Raul!
