Consistent Performance Leads to Impressive Finish Alejandro demonstrated a solid performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Starting strong, Alejandro finished the first mile in 5:21, which marked his fastest split alongside the tenth mile. Despite slowing down in the middle miles, reaching a high of 6:18 in mile eight, he regained speed toward the end. Interestingly, he improved his standing, going from eighth place overall to finishing eighth again but with a faster finishing mile. Finishing with a total time of 1:12:47, Alejandro's average pace was a consistent 5:33 min/mile. Notably, he secured first place in his division (M25-29) for the first and twelfth miles. Consistency in pace played a crucial role, especially between the ninth and thirteenth miles, where he returned to a brisk pace, culminating in a strong finish. Focusing on maintaining speed throughout and particularly in the latter half of races could improve future performances. Great effort!
