Steady Improvement Throughout the Race Matt Koziol participated in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest, representing his team, Every Wednesday! He demonstrated a steady improvement across his 5K run. Starting off with a 10:03 min/mile pace, he subsequently accelerated to a 9:26 min/mile pace by mile two, and further improved to a 9:12 min/mile pace by the third mile. Overall, Matt achieved an average pace of 9:30 min/mile for a total time of 29:29. Focusing on his performance progression, Matt climbed 274 places overall from his first mile to the second. In his division (M35-39), he moved from 92nd to 73rd place. Despite a slight drop in positioning by the end, his consistent speed increase is commendable. Continuing to focus on early pacing strategies could further enhance his race performance in the future. Keep up the dedication, Matt!
