Consistent Pacing Leads to Solid Finish Alexis Westphal Cullen, representing the Doernbecher Dinos, completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K with a final time of 36:43. She maintained an overall pace of 11:50 min/mile across the 3.1-mile event. Her performance saw a slight fluctuation in pacing, starting with an 11:34 min/mile for the first mile, a slight slowdown to 12:43 min/mile in the second mile, and a strong recovery to 11:18 min/mile in the third mile. Alexis demonstrated effective race strategy by regaining pace in the last mile. Her strong finish allowed her to place 199th in her division, F20-24, out of a total of 306 participants. Continuing to focus on leveraging her ability to recover pace after the second mile will be beneficial for future races.
