Strong Finish and First in Division Eva Scott, representing the Bowerman Track Club, showcased impressive consistency at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest in the Half Marathon. Over the 13.1 miles, her paces were incredibly steady, predominantly hovering around 6:05 min/mile, and she gradually increased her speed in the latter half of the race. Notably, she secured first place in her gender category and age division, with a final result of 1:18:57. Eva maintained her position, finishing 26th overall out of 4421 participants. Eva's splits reflect a sound strategy. She exhibited a steady start with a 6:11 min/mile pace for mile 1 and progressively accelerated, peaking with a swift 5:36 min/mile pace at mile 10. There was remarkable consistency without any significant drop in pace. The later miles, particularly from mile 9 on, demonstrated an excellent pace improvement, with the final three miles finished around 5:38 min/mile. Staying even or accelerating towards the end was a key strength in this race.
