Consistent Pacing and Strong Division Performance Kevin Cooper from Beaverton, OR, had solid pacing throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K. Each mile split showed slight improvements: a first mile at 7:13, improving to 7:12 in the second mile, and finishing the third mile a tad faster at 7:09. His overall elapsed pace was 7:10 min/mile. Remarkably, Kevin achieved a 4th place finish in the M50-54 division out of over 6,500 participants. Maintaining a consistent pace throughout led to an overall time of 22:15. Despite fluctuating overall placements during the race, Kevin remained steady in his division rank after the first mile. Continuing to focus on pacing and perhaps exploring strategies to improve speed in the final segment could enhance his next performance. Keep pushing, Kevin!
