Smooth Pace Variations as Race Progresses Ian Cameron displayed a steady improvement in pacing throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Starting with a pace of 14:27 min/mile, he progressively increased his speed. Notable improvements were seen between miles 2 and 3, showing a dramatic drop in split pace to 4:15 min/mile. As the race progressed, his pace steadied with minor fluctuations, maintaining between 10:02 and 9:54 min/mile for the latter miles. This strategic pacing adjustment highlighted his ability to maintain consistent speed after initial variations. Statistically, Ian's overall performance positioned him well within the field. He finished with an overall pace of 9:53 min/mile, culminating in a final time of 2:09:39, placing him 2196th out of 4421 participants. Being part of the LepreKAIuns team, demonstrated consistency by maintaining refined pacing, especially noted in the final stretch where he managed to improve his place from the earlier segments.
