Out of 4421 participants, he secured a decent placement, demonstrating consistent pacing throughout the race. Notably, Matthias showed significant improvement during miles 3 and 10, with split paces of 7:12 min/mile and 8:14 min/mile respectively. These were his fastest miles, contributing positively to his overall time. While the early portion of the race saw some variability, notably between miles 2 and 6, where split times ranged from 8:28 to 10:58, Matthias managed to stabilize his pace and improve his position by the midpoint.
