Steady Performance with Notable Early Splits Kaya Prinz, an 8-year-old participant from Portland, OR, completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K in 35:33. Kaya maintained a consistent pace, achieving an overall pace of 11:28 min/mile. Notably, Kayas initial split was her fastest, clocking in at 10:52 for the first mile, ranking her 41st in the F Under 15 division at that point. Her split paces then progressed to 12:01 and 11:37 for the subsequent miles. While Kaya ended up 79th in the F Under 15 division out of 6521 participants, her early performance was quite promising. Focusing on maintaining pace during the middle segment could help stabilize her rankings in future races. Kaya was also a proud member of the Rigler Runners, showcasing her team spirit and dedication.
