Consistent Performance with a Strong Mid-Race Surge Lauren maintained a consistent pace throughout the 8K race. Her split times were well-managed, including a quick start in the first mile at 7:31 min/mile, followed by an impressive second mile at 7:27 min/mile. Her performance peaked in the fourth mile, where she recorded a surprisingly swift time of 7:14 min/mile. Notably, her strong surge at this point allowed her to improve her placement within her division, advancing from 20th to 7th between the second and third mile. Overall, Lauren completed the race in 36:39 with an average pace of 7:22 min/mile. She performed notably well, finishing 7th in her division for one of the splits and maintaining a steady pace throughout. To enhance future performance, Lauren might consider strategies to maintain or even slightly increase the pace during the last mile.
